We guarantee the best rate online if you book on royalsavoy.ch.

Should you find a lower rate on another website, within 24 hours of completing a reservation at royalsavoy.ch, the Hotel Royal Savoy Lausanne shall match the lower rate found. In addition to that, you will be upgraded to the next higher room category, guaranteed.

Please submit your Best Rate Guarantee claim within 24 hours of having found a lower rate on another website. Later submissions cannot be considered.

Terms and Conditions of the Best Rate Guarantee

1) The Best Rate Guarantee applies solely to reservations made online at www.royalsavoy.ch.

2) If within 24 hours of completing a reservation on royalsavoy.ch, you find a rate on another website that is lower than the room rate you originally booked via royalsavoy.ch, please send us an e-mail with the subject “Best Rate Guarantee” to the above e-mail address. The rate found on another website needs to be comparable, i.e. for the same room type, same number of travelers, same arrival date, same departure date, same booking date, same inclusions (taxes, breakfast, etc), same booking conditions (minimum length of stay, advance booking days, deposits, policies)

3) The booking conditions applicable to the rate on another website (such as advanced payment and deposit, cancellation policies) must be identical to the booking conditions of the rate booked on royalsavoy.ch.

4) The rate found on another website must be publicly viewable and bookable online.

5) The Best Rate Guarantee does not apply if:

  • Rates on so called “opaque” or auction sites where the hotel name and/or the specific hotel is not known until the reservation is completed (such as priceline.com or hotwire.com).
  • Rates found on websites that package the hotel room and other travel components such as flights, car rental, tours, etc.
  • Rates which are not publicly available, such as corporate negotiated rates, government rates, travel agent rates or group, convention and/or event rates that have been negotiated between Hotel Royal Savoy Lausanne and specific groups or companies.
  • Rates quoted via e-mail or telephone.
  • Rates offered to members only of certain programs or affiliations such as airline membership or hotel membership programs.
  • Rates valid for extended stays or residential stay programs beyond twenty (20) consecutive nights.
  • Pre-paid rates which involve a voucher to be redeemed at the hotel.
  • In case of rate differences that are due to different currency exchange rates used by Hotel Royal Savoy Lausanne and the website with the lower rate.

6) The Rate comparison needs to be identical in terms of tax or other fee amounts.

7) Should the rate found on another website be in a different currency from the rate found on royalsavoy.ch, than the rate found on another website needs to be converted to the same currency as used in the original booking made on royalsavoy.ch, at the exchange rate applicable on the date on which the Best Rate Guarantee Claim was submitted.

8) If the Best Rate Guarantee Claim refers to a reservation consisting of multiple nights and multiple rooms, the average rate for each night will be compared to the average rate found on another website.

9) Hotel Royal Savoy Lausanne reserves the right to alter or withdraw the Best Rate Guarantee at any time without prior notice.

10) Hotel Royal Savoy Lausanne is excluding the right to take legal proceedings with regards to the guarantee. 


Processing a Best Rate Guarantee Claim

Please send an e-mail to reservations@royalsavoy.ch with your complete booking data as well as a screen-shot of the website with the cheaper rate.

We will review your Best Rate Guarantee claim within 24 hours (working days only) of submission to reservations@royalsavoy.ch.

If the claim is found valid, you will receive a confirmation at the lower rate found for a maximum of 3 consecutive nights.

If the claim is found to be invalid, the guest will be informed immediately, with the reason for the rejection.
